Storm Riders Rough Up The Gnaturals

New Lenox, IL - Tuesday night was the first time this year that it felt like fall. With the weather in the low 60's at game time and an occasional spritz of rain, the Gnaturals took on the Storm Riders in an effort to break a two game losing streak. The game proved to be entertaining as the game turned into an offensive battle. Each team scored in all but one inning with Storm Riders coming out swinging to take a 3-1 lead after an inning. S.R. scored five more runs in the second inning while holding the Gnats scoreless to lead 8-1 after two innings. S.R. continued the barrage scoring four more in their half of the third inning to take a commanding 12-1 lead. The Gnats were not done yet as they scored six runs in the bottom of the third with the scoring capped off on a Whitehouse bomb off the top of the safety fence in left field to close the score to 12-7 after three.
