  New Lenox, IL - On one of the most beautiful nights you could ask for, High Voltage hosted the Daytona Turtles to try and get back on the winning track.  On the very first pitch of the game, Gula hit a home run that barely cleared the left field fence and Daytona was off to the races.  A couple of singles later, an error and fielders choice, Daytona enjoyed a 3-0 lead going into the bottom of the first inning. That is when High Voltage came to bat and things came to a screeching half for the Turtles.   The Volts kicked things off in their first at bat with a Jack leadoff single in which he would ultimately score on a Stapes RBI double. Sutes followed that with an RBI double of his own and would later score on a Jeff 2 RBI single with the bases loaded.   New Lenox, IL - The temperature was sweltering at the Lions Den last night and so was the action as High Voltage took on Ivy League in a battle for sole possession of first place in the Tuesday Night Fall league after just two weeks of play.  The visiting Volts scored three runs in the top of the 1st inning on singles by Jack and Jake, followed by a Sutes two RBI double. Zlogar knocked in the run with a single of his own.  Ivy did their best impression of High Voltage by scoring ten runs in their half of the first inning to take a 10-3 lead after one frame. The volts scored a run in the 2nd inning when Jack drove in Jeff on a fielders choice.  The score held up with Ivy League leading 10-4 after two innings. The Volts scored three runs in the 3rd inning.  The first came on a Stapes solo homerun that dingged off the top of the fence.   New Lenox, IL - High Voltage began the Fall 2023 season on Tuesday evening against long time rival Beggars Pizza after suffering a bitter loss to White Horse in the Summer playoffs just three weeks ago.  The visiting pie boys started the scoring with two runs to open a very brief lead.  High Voltage batted around in the first inning, sending 18 men to the plate in route to scoring 13 runs to take a stranglehold of the game after only one inning.  Both teams went scoreless in the second inning to hold the score at 13-2 heading into the third inning.  Beggars scored two runs while HV came back with a one spot for a 14-4 lead after three innings. Beggars pecked away with three runs in the top of the 4th to cut the lead in half 14-7 but HV batted around in their half of the inning to score six runs and leave the inning ahead 20-7.  Beggars mounted a six run rally in their half of the 5th inning to close the gap back to seven runs but the determined High Volt...
