Volts Edge Ivy

New Lenox, IL - With only six teams in the Tuesday league, nearly every week is a tough matchup. Last night was no exception as High Voltage and Ivy League continued their rivalry in the late game. Ivy jumped on it from the beginning by putting up a seven spot in the top of the first inning. The Volts answered back immediately by opening their half with singles by the Daily Double. Stapes followed with a three-run bomb to quickly get on the board. Sutes continued the hit parade with a rare single, and would eventually score on a Jamaica single. Volts trailed 7-4 after an inning. Ivy continued to apply the pressure by scoring four runs in the second inning to take an 11-4 lead. The Volts tallied on a Jack double followed by a two-run missile by Koz to centerfield. Stapes followed with a single and ultimately scored on a Zlogar sacrifice fly.
