Gnats Poisoned by Ivy

New Lenox, IL - Anticipation was at a fever pitch at the Lions Den as the Gnaturals were taking on a couple of former teammates in Jake Koz and Uncle Gary.  The largest crowd in the history of the Gnaturals was on hand in eager anticipation of the big match up.  All things came to an end early as Ivy League put up three touchdowns in rout to a 21-1 shortened three inning beating.  Uncle Gary stifled Gnats batters and kept them off the bases to nearly complete a rare softball shutout.  As for Koz, he was seen after the game with an oxygen mask and an I.V. from all of the running he did around the bases as he picked the Gnat defense apart in a 4 for 4 effort on the evening.  Both teams entered play tied at 2-2 in this new rivalry. With the win, Ivy League is now 3-2 and tied for third place in the Tuesday league.  The Gnats are 2-3 and fall to sixth place.  Next week's game is at 8:30 PM against Tri-Star.

Noteables:

Stacked - A nameless player on the Gnats was overheard after the game screaming that teams like Ivy League shouldn't be allowed to stack their team.  WHAT????????   Repeating, WHAT????????  The goal is to win, not apologize for having talent.  This might be the most ridiculous rant ever heard in the history of competition.  Play better or get better talent is the goal, not hating on the other team for showing up with their regular guys.

Big Ole Dukie - Jack wins the name the sandwich contest with .5 points as he was the only person to respond to the challenge.  Cap'n would have actually won with a score of zero for being the only respondent.  Not sure which was more dead ass, tonight's effort vs Ivy League of the lack of response from our readers.  Jack's prize is an article of the subject of his choice.  As for the sandwich, ask Stapes.
