White Horse Trashes High Voltage Playoff Run

New Lenox, IL - Hopes were high at the Lions Den where High Voltage looked to avenge last year's fall playoff exit in the semi-final by moving one step ahead into "The Show".  Things looked great even before a pitch was thrown when the Alcoballic's upset top seeded Brew Jays to make High Voltage the highest seed remaining in the 2023 Summer League playoffs.  Things became a little sobering when pesty White Horse went punch for punch with HV after surviving the usual early High Voltage run barrage.  This and that happened, and such and such.  HV entered the final inning trailing 14-12 but couldn't push any runs across to change the outcome.  White Horse went on to the championship to face Alcoballic's only to fall short by a run.  Alcoballic's came into the league from Frankfort with a boom box playing bad music, and schooled the league for the championship trophy and $75 prize for winning the "Big One".  2023 Fall league starts on Tuesday, August 15th with High Voltage playing a 7:30PM game against Beggars Pizza.

Noteables:

Crowd - The crowd for the White Horse playoff game was one of the biggest groups ever to support the team.  The energy was electric for the championship starved crowed as they tried to will High Voltage to victory. The Live Wires were louder than ever.  Too bad some of them couldn't replace some of our players.  Just sayin'

Wet Paint - The 2023 Fall Schedule has been changed more times than Swifty during a performance so stay tuned for any additional updates.

Somebody Saved Me - A song from All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes as any of the Schoenhofen boys would tell you, but this one is about the Schoenhofen girl.  Lauren I was out saving lives this summer as this note will attest. Lauren saved a patient's life by shutting the artery with her hands while others on the medical team went to work to control the situation and save the individual. Lauren  has been nominated for The DAISY award for her impact.  Congratulations Lauren!......and thank you to all of the women of High Voltage who serve in the medical community!!!  Your work is appreciated by all.
