Volts Deliver Win Over Beggars
New Lenox, IL - The night started out with a potential battle for first place between the Brew Jays and Beggars but turned into something much different when Paradise Bay beat the Jays in the middle game of the evening. That meant that the Beggar/Volt game was for all of the marbles in the regular season finale. The game did not disappoint as each team scored in their first five at bats and would trade leads all night long. The game began with Beggars posting seven runs to storm out of the gate and take early command. The Volts responded with a nine run inning to take the lead, but had a bit of an issue. The Volts slugged back-to-back-to-back homeruns and were out of that precious commodity without a single out being recorded. Beggars tied the game up at nine with a couple of runs in their half of the second inning with the Volts pushing one across to lead 10-9 after two. Beggars volleyed three in the third to take a 12-10 lead but the Volts would match that number for a 13-12 lead heading into the fourth inning. Beggars once again took the lead with a two-run inning but would hit their third homerun in the process to put things entirely in the hands of those who could keep the ball inside the ballpark. High Voltage scored three more to lead 16-14. Beggars tallied five runs in the 5th inning to lead 19-16 and put the pressure back on the Volts with innings running out. The Volts answered back in style as they pounded out twelve hits to bat around and score 12 runs for a 28-19 lead with precious time on the clock now starting to wind down. Beggars started out the 6th inning with a solid hit but stalled from there. A homerun out and a 6-4-3 double play ended the game with no time on the clock and the Volts on top 28-19 and a regular season title. Weather permitting, the entire Fall season playoffs will be run on Tuesday, October 15th with the play-in game at 6:30, the semi-finals in the middle, and culminating with the Championship game thereafter.

He's Out - Unless being 100 sheets of paper away from the bag is on the bag, this guy is out. Nice call New York. You have the technology to make the correct decisions but you continue to get them wrong and hide behind "call on the field stands" because you are afraid to make a logical call. You've got synched multi-views and still don't get it right. Come on man!!!Time Out - Shame on everyone who is in an uproar over satire. Some said their peace and moved on. Some are acting worse than a seven year-old and you all should be ashamed of yourselves. That goes for the home team as well. Fun is fun, and if you don't think it's fun, don't read. Nothing personal folks, SATIRE.
